The 2022 Spring Baseball & Softball Season is proceeding as scheduled

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are requiring all SYAA players and parents to sign a Hold Harmless agreement. Please submit before your first game of the season.

Spring 2022 Season Info

  • 2022 Spring Registration will open on January 1st, 2022

  • Late Registration (+$25) starts on March 1st

  • Mandatory evaluations will be held on the February 12th and 13th.

    • Weather permitting, there may be a makeup date offered.

  • Practices will begin by the 1st weekend of March.

  • Games schedule will begin March 26th.

Once on the registration site you will select registration, create an account (for the parent/guardian) and then register your athlete.

Note: there is an additional $20 facility fee per family per season.

* Prices listed above include uniform (shirt and cap).

** Registration prices will include a $25.00 late sign-up fee two weeks before the season starts. 

 

Evaluations

Each age group from Pinto thru Pony will have Evaluations for the Spring 2022 Season on February 12th and 13th.

All players must participate. This is a critical tool which allows teams to draft more fairly and this prevents lopsided teams. Teams will be drafted at the end of February, so it is critical to register so uniforms can be ordered and teams formed.

  • Opening day for Spring 2022 recreation programs will be the week of March 26th, 2022*

  • Games are normally Tuesday or Thursday night and then one on Saturday.

  • Practices will start the first week in March - Coaches will determine your team’s practice schedule

  • Practices are normally held one day (possibly two) a week depending on game schedules

Scholarships

Along with the new website SYAA Baseball and Softball have been busy this off season trying to bring you the best baseball facilities and experience in the area. We have been interlocking with other Western Tidewater Organizations which allow us to play more opponents which increases our children’s skill levels. We are excited to begin another season of Baseball and Softball at SYAA and we look forward to helping your child reach the next level of play.

Onsite Registrations for Spring seasons will always start in January. Registrations for Fall will always start in July.
